    Team Commision for Dynamics RMS

    Team Commission add-in for RMSA new Dynamics RMS add-on called Team Commission overcomes the limitations of RMS in the area of handling sales commissions. Quite often in the apparel boutiques and other high-ticket retail outlets commission is assigned to a sales team rather than an individual sales person. The team members may have different commission rates and "weights" within the team according to their experience and seniority and participate in different teams because of the work shifts.

    In RMS the limitation is that only one Sales Rep may be attached to a line item in the transaction (or the entire transaction) which makes it difficult to track the team effort. With the Team Commission for Dynamics RMS the store managers now define each Sales Rep entity in RMS as a team and not an individual person. Team Commission Administrator helps to set up the actual team members with different commission rates and weights within different teams.

    The sales transactions are processed as usual with a sales team assigned to each transaction. However, as different team members may have different commission rates and weights within the team, each of them may get a different commision amount.

    The “Team Commission” assumes that the RMS “Sales Rep” is in fact a team of 2+ people/entities. Each “team member” will have individual commission rate and the “weight” (or “Shared Points”) within the team (so the sum of all  “weights” in the team is always 100%). One member can participate in different teams with different weights, however one member always has the same commission rate. Let’s see a how it works in an example:

     

    Sales Reps:

    SalesRepA, commission rate 3%

    SalesRepB, commission rate 2%

    SalesRepC, commission rate 1%

     

    TeamA:

    SalesRepA: 40% weight

    SaleesRepB: 35% weight

    SalesRepC: 25% weight

     

    TeamB:

    SalesRepC: 50% weight

    SalesRepB: 50% weight

     

    Scenario 1:

    TeamA sold an item worth $100 (before taxes)

     

    Effective sale for SalesRepA is: $100 x 40% = $40 , commission: $40 x 3% = $1.20

    Effective sale for SalesRepB is: $100 x 35% = $35 , commission for SalesRepB: $35 x 2% = $0.70

    Effective sale for SalesRepC is: $100 x 25% = $25 , commission for SalesRepC: $25 x 1% = $0.25

     

    Scenario 2:

    TeamB sold an item worth $100

     

    Effective sale for SalesRepB is: $100 x 50% = $50 , commission: $50 x 2% = $1.00

    Effective sale for SalesRepC is: $100 x 50% = $50 , commission: $50 x 1% = $0.50

     

    A built-in custom report in RMS Manager automatically calculates  each individualo member commissions for a period of time.
