Metrologic's Optimus S  is a lightweight, portable data collection terminal, designed for retail and light warehouse operation, including inventory and stocking. The Optimus S has several programming options for users with different levels of programming skills and comes with 2MB of memory to accommodate users with a larger inventory.

You never need to worry about switching batteries - the rechargable lithium Ion has a long battery life and allows approx 100 hours of scanning per charge. The terminal has an easy to view 100 X 64 LCD display that is backlit for easy use in a variety of environments.

Each Optimus S comes with the Optimizer software package to facilitate application development. This graphically-orientated program allows even computer beginners to quickly and easily setup the applications they wish to run on their portable data terminal(PDT). There are also several simple utilities for uploading and downloading of data. The entire software suite is designed to make PDT application development a painless process.

Optimus S  is an excellent low-cost portable data collector which can be used with Microsoft Dynamics RMS. RMS physical inventory count can be performed “out of box”.

Transfer and Purchase Order (TO and PO) handling may be accomplished with using Retail Hero's Order Import Utility.

The metrologic Optimus R mobile computer provides a rugged solution for batch-data collection application demanding warehouse and distribution center environments. With an IP rating of 65, Optimus R can take a slamming and keep on scanning!

This stylish and ergonomic mobile computer rapidly uploads and downloads data via the Direct Connection option which lowers the cost of ownership by making a separate terminal cradle unnecessary.

Optimus R features easy navigation and software development tools that make customizing applications for even the toughest data-collection challanges a snap. Optimizer software allows for quick configuration of PDT programs.

It comes with 2MB of data memory (4MB & 8MB optional) for accommodating larger inventories. The lithium Ion rechargeable battery allows 200 hours of non-stop scanning operation which maximizes uptime and labor efficiency by eliminating the cost of replacement batteries.
