Collect points for direct-mail coupons
One of the newest trends in retail customer loyalty is personalized coupons sent to the customer directly, redeemable at the store location for a discount. Retail Hero has developed and released its newest customer loyalty add-on for Dynamics RMS called Happy Checks to implement this loyalty retail format.
Like with Hero Points, the customer collects points in Happy Checks, but that’s where the similarities end. Once enough points have been collected, they are converted into discount coupons with the customer’s name on them, and sent by mail.
You can perform a “check-run” to convert points into coupons whenever you wish, and works best if it’s on a regular basis. When you do a check-run, the system automatically generates coupons with the customer’s name and expiry date and prints them out. Then, the checks just need to be stuffed into window envelopes and dropped off in a mailbox.
The checks are a solicited and physical reminder to the customer that you exist, and having this reminder with an expiry date has proven effective in the past (with one retailer reporting a 60% increase in sales after implementation). When the customer comes back to the store, just scan the checks and the discounts are applied automatically. Each check is numbered and assigned to individual customers, and can only be used once.
